Things worth knowing before you launch or trade a token found through Tone.
Affiliation
Tone is independent. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by pump.fun, PumpPortal, the Solana Foundation or X Corp. Their names are used only to describe how Tone works.
Tone doesn't vouch for tokens
Anyone can launch a token through Tone. Tokens appear on Explore and the home page automatically, because they were launched here, not because Tone reviewed or recommends them. Tone doesn't check who made a token or what they intend to do. Tokens launched elsewhere have no song, and Tone doesn't show their details.
Holding a token
A Tone token is a pump.fun token, not an NFT. Holding it doesn't give you ownership of, or any rights to, its token image or its song, and no share of anything they earn. Anyone can hear the song, whether they hold the token or not. The creator receives pump.fun's creator fees on trades, under pump.fun's rules.
Risk
- Tokens like these are extremely volatile and often lose most or all of their value.
- A creator may buy their own token at launch (a "dev buy") and sell it later, which can move the price sharply.
- Transactions on Solana are final. Tone can't reverse, cancel or refund them.
- Only use money you can afford to lose. Nothing on Tone is financial advice.
Market data
Market cap and bonding-curve figures come from pump.fun's public data. It's unofficial, may be delayed or wrong, and is hidden when unavailable. Check pump.fun before you trade.
The music
A token's song is generated from its token image and the settings chosen at launch. It's a creative feature. It says nothing about a token's quality, value or legitimacy.
